12 Steps In Avoiding Resentments

12 steps in avoiding resentments. ......... ......... ......

1st step - powerless over the person - admitting how the resentment
makes my life unmanagable even if its just because the thoughts of the
person occupy so much of my time that could be better spent on
something
positive.

2nd step - admitting the insanity of it and believing that there is
help available from a power greater than me - whether its my sponsor,
god, the group or whatever.

3rd step - asking for help in turning it over and letting go and then
doing it - over and over if needed .

4th- write about it .

5th -tell someone .

6th - a biggy - becoming willing to have god remove this defect - also
gotta be willing in the beginning to even work on it, but especially
need willingness here .

7th - asking god to remove my shortcomings, ask god to help me to stop
acting out on this resentment. - if asking for help in turning it over
isnt' enough in step 3, keep asking.

8th - do I owe amends?

9th - make them.

10 - keep taking an inventory to try and prevent these resentments
from buidling in the future .

11 - maybe keeping a conscious contact with god will help this from
happening again also .

12 - try to practice these principles.. . try to practice acceptance
and tolerance even when I don't feel it.
